This is the second time my son had a small scratch after getting a haircut. The first time was near his eye and I left a feedback about it too. My son has special needs and he does not like the sound of the razor so they try to use scissors. We try and help out on holding him still while getting his cut. But they should be extra careful next time. Staffs are great as well as the haircut but it makes me feel scared as a parent to see that my child gets just even a small scratch and maybe even worst next time.

My husband took my 5 year old son today for a haircut. And ive noticed when I got home that there was small scratch on my sons face near his right eye. My husband did notice that before they left Thats why he didnt say anything. The haircut was nice and my son really likes the place. But i think they need to be extra careful cause it could’ve cost more damage.

1. If you are requiring parents to wear a mask they should not be charged for them. It is not required by the state so if your company requires them they need to be provided for free. Not everyone has or wears a mask out. 2. Your staff should be handing the mask out instead of having the customers grabbing them. Its pointless for the mask if every customer is coming im and touching all over the mask and box. If that person has COVID-19 and is asymptomatic the next person that comes in and grabs a mask is going to touch the contaminated box. 3. The lady cutting my sons hair was rude as hell. I walked over and set my son in the chair and he started to cry. He started holding his breath and turning blue and all she kept telling me was to get a mask. Im sorry but that the last thing on my mind when my son is holding his breath. She was very unprofessional. Again, if the mask thing is such a big deal you need to hand them out when parents walk in the door !

Our haircutter absolutely used the wrong guard to taper up my sons hair, and then did everything she could to explain that it was right. I asked for a 3 on the sides and the back and she followed that up by using a low 1 guard on his neck and up the back of his head. The contrast was incredible. At no point did I say that I wanted a 1 guard used. She tried her best to blend it but it looks bad. My advise for her would be to ask more questions. A lot of questions. She explained to me that I should have said “___.” I don’t know what those terms mean. And so before you take a scissor or clipper to kids and their hair just disappears, ask to make sure that’s what we want. It takes 2 seconds. Once the hair is gone, it is gone.

Response from Cookie Cutters Haircuts for Kids

I am very sorry and concerned to hear about your experience. I rarely receive a negative comment and would appreciate the opportunity to fix the problem. Can you tell me who your stylist was or your child's name so that I can determine who it was that gave you such a bad experience? We are committed to offering additional training whenever necessary. Our haircuts are guaranteed for 2 weeks and I would also like the opportunity to make this right for you and your child. Please email me at minicuts@cccoh.com. My name is Alison and I am the owner. We truly want to make this right and make you happy. Our customer service is of the utmost importance. I hope to hear from you. Thank you.
