It was a very discriminatory treatment today. My son had an appointment for 6:15pm. We arrived earlier than that. However, we were made to wait almost an hour. This is because the white ladies didn’t take my son even though he was before other kids. The ladies said it was “computer” which did this arrangement not them. What I noticed was during that hour, there were three non white kids. Only the non white lady cut their hair. Why? Is hair color matter so much? Why did my son had to wait for the non-white lady to be free for his hair cut? Does the color of my son’s hair matter? I thought we were past this type of environment. I would like to know why this is happening at Cookie Cutters. I have nothing against the non white lady who cut my son’s hair. She was polite and did a good job. What I don’t understand is that why the white ladies didn’t cut my son’s hair and instead cut the white kids hair who came way later than my son? I repeatedly said I don’t have any preference to who cuts my son’s hair. What kind of corporate policy allows this type of discrimination??

Nicholas has been having his haircut at Cookie Cutter for over 2 years by Alisha. We are very happy with his haircuts and Alisha is awesome!

Alisha is amazing she’s very very understanding and gives great advice when it comes your hair she’s very patient with nervous or not happy kids she’s my go to every time Alisha will not disappoint you

Ms. Patty was so sweet and kept my little entertained while she was cutting his hair. She was so sweet and treated us with kindness. Ms. Patty will be our stylist moving forward.

We took our 2 year old whom while turn 3 in January here for his 2nd haircut and to the one in Perry Hall for his very 1st haircut and we loved the whole experience at both locations. The staff are extremely friendly and professional. The salon is very clean and organized. The woman Alicia whom cut our son’s hair did such an awesome job especially with the fact that he would not sit still. We love that they have the tiny vehicles for the kids to sit inside of with a seatbelt that has a very strong hold that kept little man secure and safe while having his hair cut. We love that the hair stylist gives the child 2 quarters to play one of their arcade style games which has 2 games to choose from a claw machine or a pinball game that gives the child a tiny bouncy ball. We enjoyed every second of having our boy’s haircut which most parents dread. Not us we love everything about it! We highly recommend any parent looking for somewhere to get their child’s haircut to take them to Cookie Cutter’s Haircut’s for Kid’s in Ellicott City or Perry Hall!!! Thank you for the fun memories we now get to share with our family!
