Hi, I love that there is a kids salon close to our home. My kid loves going. Unfortunately the past few times I’ve made appointments, I’ve had to wait quite awhile before getting him in his chair. Today we had to wait 50 mins after our appointment time! This makes me not want to return which is sad because I like the concept of your salon. Just thought you should know. I’ve had a few friends with similar experiences there as well. The other issue is that I would have liked to have more work done on his hair but felt rushed and felt bad for the other parents waiting.

I asked for a fairly standard a-line style haircut for my daughter. When I asked the stylist to "stack" the back, she told me that she already had. She was on her phone for much of the cut and we received in quite a rude way when we arrived 15 minutes early (we were told they couldn't start us even though our stylist just sat behind the computer the whole time). Several days later, when I'd had a good look at the cut, I ended up taking my daughter somewhere else to have the cut fixed. I ended up paying so much for my daughter's cut - next time I will just skip the first step and go straight to a real professional.

First time I’ve experienced lack of professionalism and customer service, may have been an off day for them but felt like my business was an inconvenience to them. The receptionist had poor tip handling skills.

The haircut looks good. I don’t think that we were heard when we said we wanted it a little longer on the top and because the kids have a tv in front of them they can’t even see the haircut happening. My sons hair was cut really fast and it was too late for me to say anything about keeping the top longer. It wasn’t very personal and it was a very hectic environment. I’m a little disappointed about the service. Like I said, the haircut itself was fine, it just wasn’t exactly what we wanted and being a family of long haired boys, keeping that length on top was important and now I have an upset 7 year old that’s trying to be okay with his new hair not being what he expected.

Had an appointment at 4:15 and didn’t get called until 4:33. Arrived 5 minutes early to be respectful of everyone’s time. I wasn’t notified that things were running behind. Someone who checked in 10 minutes after me was seated before me. Second time in a row that my scheduled appointment time was not accommodated (about a 10 minute delay last time). The delay made me late for another scheduled meeting and I HATE being late/having people wait on me. Going to try a different hair salon next time.

I understand the stylist was getting ready for lunch but she made us feel like an inconvenience and was very short. She also rushed us and was NOT understanding of my 2 yo needing more time with the clippers. When apologizing for his excessive movement she just shrugged off my apology. This is my first time coming to the Meridian location. I will not be coming back because I’ve never had this experience at the Boise location.
