I usually have decent service, and the stylists ability to give my child a decent cut despite the constant wiggling has been very satisfactory. That being said, my visit today did was just plain not good. I had set an appointment online for 11:15. I got there at 11:15 and was greeted pretty rudely by one of the stylists (she was not wearing a name tag, but I believe it was Melanie, who was also supposed to cut my son’s hair). She proceeded to sweep up her station and b.s, with the other girl there before she came up to “help.” She told me my appointment had been for 11:00, and that time had passed, so my appointment was marked “no show.” I showed her my confirmation email, which she refused to look at. She just told me I was late for my 11:00 appointment and walked away to have the other girl (Lashawnda) help me. Mind you, THERE WAS NO ONE ELSE IN THERE!!! Someone who insists I am wrong even when I have the email to back it up and then treats my son and me like gum on the bottom of her shoe definitely should not be in a profession where children are their customers, and their parents have internet and a voice to express their disapproval. Of note, Lawshanda ended up cutting my son’s hair and she did a very good job. FYI, an apology or even a “hey, no problem. We’ll take care of you!” goes a long way. In fact, not saying anything at all about the time issue would be the professional way to handle it.
