The environment itself was very toddler/ kid-friendly. Unfortunately, our stylist was not. This was our first haircut experience and our stylist made several remarks about my child’s hair and lack of being groomed and taken care of (hair). The stylist was not at all gentle with the brushing part of my child’s hair, nor did she seem to care when my child remarked about how hot the hairdryer was. I wish our stylist would have taken the time to show my little one everything that she was going to do, rather than rushing through the process and making this an unfortunate experience.

As I did give the experience all too ratings, I felt the haircut could have been a bit better. I understand that cutting a child’s hair isn’t the easiest, but in my opinion it could have been done with a bit more finishing touches. I am one that is very particular about styles and cuts, so I don’t know how I should accept this as a good haircut.

We had Amanda at the Algonquin location. She was awesome with me and this was my first time getting a haircut.I definitely want to come back again!

Was not happy with how my sons hair turned out. I asked multiple times about fixing spots. Then I got home and he has two spots in the back of his head that are way shorter than the rest of his hair. Have to take him elsewhere to fix this haircut tomorrow

The person that was cutting my sons hair was NOT good with children. She just threw the cape on him without explaining what shew was doing. Of course he freaked out and took it off, she just kept putting it on and never once stopped to explain what she was doing to him. She then started cutting his hair, again not explaining what she was doing, she just started doing it. He was screaming and crying the whole time and she never once stopped to explain the process/speak to him or to let me calm him down. She ended up cutting his ear a little, which I understand happens sometimes but she just handed me a tissue to stop the bleeding and kept going. He's had a few haircuts in his short 3 years and has never had an issue because each time the person was personable and great with kids. She had no warmth to her and honestly should not be working at a place specific for children. I wish I got her name but unfortunately did not. The person the appointment was scheduled with online (Amanda) was not there. We went on Friday, March 18th at 5pm and there were two women working there at the time - one blonde and one brunette. It was the brunette that cut my sons hair. I hope that helps and she can receive some proper training on how to interact with children.
