I do love cookie cutters but I only use two stylists at the canton location. However we have had two bad experiences in three months time that caused me to consider going elsewhere. The first was with a stylist named Emma. Emma kept stopping in the middle of my one year olds hair cut to text on her phone. She told me she was "buying her daughter a car" my son was getting antsy and I was angry that she thought texting was more important than focusing on my child's cut. She ended up completely botching his cut and it was two different lengths with uneven bangs and sides. The only reason I continued to go to cookie cutters is because of a particular stylist named Josie. Josie is always patient, takes her time and is fun. She treats my child like he is her own and doesn't get upset when he starts getting impatient. Unfortunately I had another unpleasant visit with a stylist named Brooke at the canton location. Brooke was very impatient and just did not do the cut I had asked her to do. I always ask for just a simple cut with no blunt bangs. Brooke cut blunt and uneven bangs on my son. I later learned from several other stylists that Brooke purposely chooses not to listen to parents and will cut whatever is convenient for her. I was infuriated and spoke to the owner Wendy. Wendy did give us a free haircut with Josie and apologized which I was happy about. However I feel that both of these incidents should have never occurred in the first place. Stylists should not be on their phones while in the middle of a haircut!! For the money I pay I expect both my child and I to be treated with respect and to be listened to. If I have any further incidents I won't be taking my child there any more.

Alicia is professional and amazing every time we get a haircut! So grateful to have found someone who is so good with cutting kids' hair. She does an excellent job each and every time.

My son is a bit sensitive to noises and other people touching him, which made haircuts a scary and hard experience for him. Someone recommended Cookie Cutters and we found stylist Josie there who treats him very calmly and explains everything to him along the way instead of just trying to get him in and out. The video game helps with a bit of diversion, but the demeanor and treatment from Josie is what keeps him at ease. The finished product looks great also. We have been a few times now and there is no resistance from him when it's time to go and he is definitely more brave in the chair. He would only allow shears only the first few times, but he has allowed the small trimming clippers the last couple visits. Thank you Ms. Josie and Cookie Cutters! You are awesome. I recommend making a reservation when going, especially during peak times. The website is very easy to use for this, but can be done by phone also.
