I have the most pleasant experience every time I visit Aalam. I mostly appreciate the professional, calm environment of the salon. Mansour cuts my hair and gets it right every time and Ukwen is amazing with his hair coloring techniques. I've lived in the area for almost 15 years and visited many salons in the area and Aalam is top of the list for me!

I used to live in University Park and went to the Osgood O'neill salons. They have a blow dry bar where we as clients can choose a product for our hair and blow dry ourselves after receiving a color treatment. My complimentary blow drys at your salon have been horrible (except for Cassie my colorist). And you can see that I have been coming monthly for a couple of years! After spending all the money on my color, I should be able to walk out of your salon and not be embarrassed to run into someone I know. You certainly have plenty of space and it would be a great way for us as clients to sample new products before we purchase. We don't even need the professional hair dryers if that's a liability for you. Just let us use the type of hair dryer we use in our homes. If I didn't love Cassie as much, I probably would drive down to Osgood o' Neil.

I always get great service/highlight from Michael. I won't go to anyone else because of his expertise. I'm older and I have a lot of gray in my hair and he's the only stylist I know that can highlight my hair and it blends beautifully -- no line down the middle showing my gray after it starts to grow out so I can now wait 3 months between appointments. Wouldn't get anywhere else to get my hair highlighted. Period!
