My hair color looks worse now than when I went in. Overpriced and looks nothing like what I wanted. Will never return again. Everyone is super nice, but I hate how much I spent on something that looks horrible.

Michael always does a great job with my color. He is friendly and highly skilled. My only complaint with Aalam which is also true of other high end salons is that you spend $200 on your color and it doesn't include a blow out. It is hard to tell the end result when you walk out with half-dry, frizzy hair after their "free" quick dry.

I was offered a service for which there was an extra $40 charge and no one told me about it until I was paying my bill. This left a bad taste for the overall experience.

Mary cuts my hair and I really like the way she cuts it. I had someone color my hair this time, and Im sorry, but I cannot remember her name, but I would not use her again. Color was not great and it seems to have taken her a lot longer then previous times I have had my hair colored. I only gave 4 stars for Quality of service because of the color NOT the cut. I do think the price is high for a haircut, but I came back because I had received an email for discounted services. I know that most of my friends would never pay $80 for a haircut.

I requested a specific person for a blowout. I arrived and found out that the person I requested no longer worked there. I was not contacted in advance to advise me of this. I would not have chanced an appointment with someone I had never received service from as I had a special occassion. The manager did apologize for not being contacted, but frankly that was not good enough.

Hello - I was here on Saturday for myself and my daughter. The stylist was a lower level, but still $70 + tip. I walked out of there paying over $80 and didn't feel like I stepped out of a salon. I understand she was a lower level stylist, but there are basic things you still expect. She didn't offer any advice on how much hair to cut, if layers would be appropriate, even though I asked. She didn't know how to blow dry my hair. She dried it, wet it again, and then blow dried it again (I had to teach her how to blow dry hair), and even the 2nd time, the hair didn't look good, but I didn't have more time to get it fixed. My hair had no body, no curls at the bottom. She was blow drying the hair inward instead of out like I had asked her to. I've never been to a salon that does it this way. It was clear she was learning even in the way she was cutting my hair. I understand everyone has a learning curve, and she was very nice and tried her best, but to charge $70 for that hair cut was absurd. It was my daughter's sweet 16 party that night, which was the reason I got my haircut that day- so it would look nice and I had one less thing to worry about, but I ended up having to redo my hair when I got home. I would be ok with it if I paid less, but I was very disappointed based on the price I was charged. I don't think I will be coming back (or anyone in my family). I'm attaching a photo of myself (AFTER I fixed it) so you can get an idea of how it must have looked prior to me touching it up.
