I am a long time client of Nasir. I met him when he was at Elizabeth Arden Red Door at Wilkow Bend. I love his work. However during my last visit I was not aware or informed of the service rate increases for both Nasir and Michael. I was very disappointed in the lack of miscommunication and the higher service costs. I am very unlikely to return to AALAM. Best wishes for many more success. Thanks!

My colorist was very busy with three different clients at one point! I felt like I was "set aside" longer than necessary (not just waiting for color to set - I waited about 10 extra minutes for a different person to wash my hair since my colorist was so busy, and then about 10 minutes after having my hair shampooed to move on to my stylist). My colorist started the rinsing process and was incredibly rough and felt rushed and used cool water. The shampooing is supposed to be the most relaxing part!! I will say, the results were great, however - he did a good job with the actual service. My stylist was great, as usual. Please, get the stylists a new stool that actually rolls!!!!! A professional at a high-end salon should not have to bounce and scrape along on a ratty old stool!! One of my haircuts would pay for two new stools, for goodness' sakes!

I only rated the value and likelihood of referring a 7 because I think a nice, complete blowout should be included with the price of any color service. I love my color but paying an additional $40 for a premium blow out is too expensive. When I leave the salon after getting a color, I would like to leave thinking "my hair looks great!" Instead, I leave, thinking, "Oh,well, I will re-dry it when I get home".
