The environment is very nice however, something has to be done about the windows not having any type of shades. I was in a chair closest to the front and Naser kept turning me to face the sun. It was shining directly on me (was about 6:30 pm) and in my face causing me to squint, get hot, etc. My face was red when I left. I told him his chair was in a terrible spot and I was about to burn up. He didn't seem too concerned. My cut turned out very nice but the total experience wasn't all there.

I have been coming here for 9 years and to walk in and be informed that after paying $190 for color that if I want my hair blow dried it will be $40’extra dollars. Not only is this an outrageous price for a blow out after paying for my color, but the overall lack of customer service and professionalism that I was not told when I called and booked the appointment speaks volumes to the greedyness of the ownership. To be notified by my stylist who is obviously mortified that they have to do managements dirty work, again speaks to the u professionalism of the owners. Taking business elsewhere

The stylist was great and did a good job but after paying $200 for a color service I would expect my hair to be blow dried and styles and not be sent home with wet hair. I was told that it was an additional $45 to blow dry my hair and if it were to be straightened add another $10. I really hope the owners review this poor policy, this is not good customer service at all.

The atmosphere and establishment was clean and professional. The stylist made recommendations on my hairstyle based on the description I gave her of my dress. She showed me an Instagram picture of a different clients hair she had done in the past. I told her I did not want it to look like a prom updo and showed her a picture of a messier updo I preferred. My end result was ok but not even close to the picture I showed her. when she asked if I liked it or wanted any adjustments, I let her know one side needed more volume and she made a few comments about having to adjust the side. It just wasn't what I expected at a high end establishment. Overall she was pleasant.

I scheduled a highlight/lowlight and cut. I would have expected a two hour time in the chair. However, it was a bit over 3 hours. The color was good but she took a while and added conditioner or something for 5 rinses..my cut is ok but my bangs are a bit too short. I told her I'd rather come back for trim than have them too short. Both girls were very nice and professional. I just hadn't planned on 3 hours.

I went to Aalam because it had overall very good reviews. I trust heavily on reviews when choosing a location. My experience was overall very nice. The location was very easy and accessible. Once in the location the atmosphere and decor is lovely, very modern and clean. I was immediately greated and offered something to drink. I only waited for 10 minutes before my stylist David came over and introduced himself. I explained what I wanted and I even showed him a picture. I figured it would be much easier to see what I was referring to rather than me just explain what was in my head. He didnt take much time to look at the picture provided so I figured he was familiar with what I wanted. I have very fine hair but with properly cut and styled layers I could have achieved what was on my picture. I have had it done in the past. This time it was not the case. The hair washing service was great. Once he started cut my hair I could already tell I was not going to have the end result I expected. I didnt want to say anything beacuse I did not want to be rude. I figured as he progressed it would get there. Once my service was done I was so disappointed. It was nothing like what I wanted or what was on my picture. I requested to have some face framing in hopes it would be better but it was just all so wrong. I didnt want to make a big deal of it. I saod thank you paid and left a tip. I dont think I will be recommending this location to anyone which is sad because the place is truly lovely however the main purpose of going to the salon is to leave satisfied with your outcome and that I was not.
