This was my second time with Amanda coloring my hair. First time was pleasant and I got what I wanted. This time I asked for blonde highlights - cool blonde and I left paying $140 and my hair looked exactly as it looked when I walked in. The highlights were still very caramel and I am not pleased . I feel if I had not gone in today there would not be a difference in what I paid for. I don't want to be rude to Amanda but simply this was not what I asked for

This time actually for the first time I just feel that I spent 70 bucks and no hair cut . My hair are limp and they don’t have any shape . I’m extremely sad this time . They were all good , flowy lustrous when I was at the salon after the wash I feel like they don’t have any layers.

First visit I came in for ombré with photos. Was not to my standards, stylist barely talked to me during full 4 hour session. Hair turned out yellow and very splotchy and chunky brown and the top and yellow at the bottom. Not even and There was no soft transition or blend between colors. Hair was damaged looking and there was no dimension whatsoever. I emailed my disappointment and they gladly brought me back in. My second stylist was great! She did what she could to fix the previous work and was super friendly and talkative. She fixed about 70% of it and I was way more happy! I'm still not overall happy with my hair but it will do until I see a specialist. I don't want to fry my hair off so best to wait a while.

This was my Second experience with Aalam. Let me first share the fact that my First Experience was impressive. I just care to get my money's worth when it comes to styling and hence do not care about their Welcome Drink or Ambience much. I wanted a different look which I shared with my Stylist and which I did receive. He took his time to listen to me and explain on how we could go forward with it and the end result was impressive. However, I was disappointed the second time. The same stylist gave me a different treatment this time. I felt rushed throughout the whole session. Since he did not recall me or the styling he did the previous time, I thought he would spend some time discussing the same. No luck! I did not insist since I showed the same pic I used as a reference the last time and he just gave a quick glance and I thought he understood what I was looking for. I was wrong and the end result turned out to be far from what I had in mind. He cut my hair too short and I ended up looking like a customer out of a Mom and Pop Salon (they just cut the hair short without styling). On closer look at home the Fading on both sides of the head were not consistent as well. To make thing worse I had a photo shoot on the same day. $75 + Tip down the drain and lost my confidence on Upscale Salons. Guess back to my $15 Salon for now. Reason for my Bad Experience could be : 1) They take returning Customers for granted OR 2) Stylist was having a bad day and I ended up paying for it with a huge loss I believe its #2.

Hello - I was here on Saturday for myself and my daughter. The stylist was a lower level, but still $70 + tip. I walked out of there paying over $80 and didn't feel like I stepped out of a salon. I understand she was a lower level stylist, but there are basic things you still expect. She didn't offer any advice on how much hair to cut, if layers would be appropriate, even though I asked. She didn't know how to blow dry my hair. She dried it, wet it again, and then blow dried it again (I had to teach her how to blow dry hair), and even the 2nd time, the hair didn't look good, but I didn't have more time to get it fixed. My hair had no body, no curls at the bottom. She was blow drying the hair inward instead of out like I had asked her to. I've never been to a salon that does it this way. It was clear she was learning even in the way she was cutting my hair. I understand everyone has a learning curve, and she was very nice and tried her best, but to charge $70 for that hair cut was absurd. It was my daughter's sweet 16 party that night, which was the reason I got my haircut that day- so it would look nice and I had one less thing to worry about, but I ended up having to redo my hair when I got home. I would be ok with it if I paid less, but I was very disappointed based on the price I was charged. I don't think I will be coming back (or anyone in my family). I'm attaching a photo of myself (AFTER I fixed it) so you can get an idea of how it must have looked prior to me touching it up.

I requested a specific person for a blowout. I arrived and found out that the person I requested no longer worked there. I was not contacted in advance to advise me of this. I would not have chanced an appointment with someone I had never received service from as I had a special occassion. The manager did apologize for not being contacted, but frankly that was not good enough.
