I really feel the experience begins at the shampoo bowl and standard of care should include a scalp massage or some form of pampering feeling which never seems to happen. I definitely get that when I go to my regular hairstylist outside of the beauty college. It might be a nice touch to incorporate that as part of your service. It’s like gettingA manicure without a massage. I just think it all goes together perfectly and I feel disappointed when it’s left out. I do think the cost for service is steep considering every service takes at least three hours of time. For example, I just had an all over color and I would be in and out of my stylists for $65. I paid $45 and was there three hours. Not much savings. That’s just some honest feedback. I think it’s a lovely establishment. Maybe coupons could be given to returning and loyal customers? That might be a nice touch to offset the pricing.

I feel like the color prices are quite expensive and I had a couple of services added to my checkout cost that were not discussed with me prior. With any business the customer should know exactly what the cost is going to be prior to accepting the treatment so I was disappointed to have two additional items added to my service today we’re price was not Discussed. I assumed there was no charge for them so I was shocked at check out to have an additional added. I also sat there for hours so I feel the prices should be lower for the amount of time it takes. Besides that I am a returning customer and the girls always do a great job. The instructor was was also lovely.

Young lady that worked on my hair was above excellent. the instructors helping were also very helpful and nice. Value is out standing. And yes, I have recommended your business. The only complaint I have is it is too noisy. Yes, I know there's blow driers etc. and it's a learning situation. But at times it felt as if I was in a bar (groups of ladies standing around talking way to loud). Music level was fine and I enjoyed it when I could hear it. Not a relaxing environment at all. To be honest yesterday, I was there so long; having highlights, root touch-up and a cut that I left with a headache. Also you might like to know that the girlfriend I recommended your business to also only had one complaint..to noisy.

That was probably the best facial I’ve had at JD. Alyssa was excellent at explaining what she was going to do and had an excellent touch during the facial! Just terrific service! Highly recommend her!

The only other issue that I had with my appointment today was that the stylist neglected to wipe the hair dye off of my hairline and face. Because she left it on there until the end it stained the sides of my face. I asked her before the end of the appointment if she was going to clean it up and she said yes. Then when she told me I was all finished she had overlooked the messy dye all over my hairline and face so I had to ask her again if she would please help me with getting the day off . This surprised me because she told me she had over 1000 hours of experience already. This seems like a basic protocol that you learn. All certified hairstylist that I’ve gone to you always make a point to wipe the day off without waiting too long because they know that the longer the wait the harder it is to get off. The stylus let me know that alcohol removes the dye. Then her and the instructor did their best to try to remove it but unfortunately it did not come off all the way and it’s been 24 hours and I still have dye on my face. I have naturally curly hair and asked her to blow my hair straight so if I have to completely wash my face I will get my hair wet there by undoing the blowout I received. I’m sure the stylus learn from this mistake but I just wanted to point out that I think it makes a huge difference in the level of service. Client shouldn’t be expected to pay. Remove the hard to get off hair dye on their own or be. I have to remind the stylus over and over to remove it like it’s an inconvenience.
