I took my son in to Cookie Cutters on the morning of Saturday January 21. The employee we had seemed new at cutting children’s hair, being very timid and nervous with every movement. Unfortunately, his haircut is very uneven and there is a spot on the top of his head that is almost bald. I am typically very happy with the service we receive but today I am very disappointed and embarrassed of his haircut. I definitely do not think his haircut was worth $19.95. My son enjoys coming here so I hope I do not need to find a new salon for him.

The haircut itself turned out fine. But the person who cut his hair seemed annoyed at my suggestion that I specifically wanted to look for ways to tame my son's cowlick. When I asked if she knew what would be best, she simply said, "I might" and immediately began cutting without any further explanation. She also kept telling my two year old that he was going to end up with a really bad haircut because he was trying to look around. In the past when we've come, the stylists have been great about simply turning the chair away from the tv and toward the slide since he seemed to be more interested in people watching. But that wasn't the case today.

It was our son's first haircut. We paid for the package for the first haircut, which included the certificate and the picture. The receptionist spelled our son's name wrong on the certificate... we spell it "Robbie." We didn't have her redo it because we thought it would cost us extra, but I wish she would have asked us how to spell his name before she printed the certificate with the picture.

It was a great "First" haircut experience and we loved getting the little locket of hair but for 20.00 it didn't seem like anything I couldn't have done myself. The place was not so clean. The lady who cut my sons hair was very sweet and was very good with kids, good at talking and distracting our 13month old son. The hostess at the front was a little dry but I think the biggest part for me is it just seemed like an unclean place to be.

Was charged an extra $8 for brushing my daughters hair that was not mentioned before or during the process... I had to ask what the $8 charge on my receipt was for. I was going to give a tip until I saw that and they told me. It changed a good experience into a bad one quickly and I will NEVER go back

Stylist did an excellent job and was very attentive and sensitive to needs of child and parent. Rest of salon was pretty chaotic possibly due to heavy traffic. A place to hang out le coats / jackets would have been nice. More stylists to deal with high demand may have alleviated tension and overall congestion in the shop. Overall a good experience - all due to stylist.
