Alicia did the first haircut package for my daughter. She snipped a piece of hair and put it on her counter. Three times between then and the time she put that piece of hair in a plastic baggie she or somebody knocked my daughter's first hair cut onto the floor. They just picked it up (less and less each time, more dirty and matted each time) and balled it up to Toss In a plastic bag. The photo she took for the memory award was dark and blurry. Really felt ripped off of the first hair cut experience and paid a price that should've been a quality experience with a good memory for something that was just trash and disappointing.

The receptionist at the salon was extremely friendly and personable! The hair stylist who cut my son and nephews hair was kind when she did speak, which wasn’t much. She never introduced herself to myself or the children. Outside of asking what kind of cut I wanted for the kids she did nothing to interact with them in a friendly way to make them comfortable, which I would expect from a kids salon. Specifically with my 3 year old, who has only ever had a hair cut one other time in his life, she did nothing to explain to him what she was about to do to help him feel comfortable. She then stopped cutting and asked if it looked okay. After looking myself I saw she had cut the back very crooked and missed a very clear spot on one side. I pointed those things out and she responded, “I have dry eyes. It’s hard to see”. She then revisited the spots I pointed out, cut a little more, then asked me if it looked complete. I should think as the stylist that she would have the professional capability of saying the hair cut looks complete. I would likely only go back to the salon to be seen by another stylist to see if it is a better experience for my little one.

I asked for my day to get a trim and cut her bangs. The stylist did not even want to set her hair and it was not easy to tell with the way her hair was at the salon how much had been trimmed. My daughter told me after we got home that the stylist did not even cut her bangs. She rushed through her appointment and once we got home I noticed. Normally we have a great experience at cookie cutters but this was very disappointing.

I love this facility but the woman who did my son’s haircut seemed new and not very experienced. Ended up having to shave my son’s head. Utterly disappointed and won’t stray away from his go-to person.

I brought my son here knowing that this was a place specifically for children, and my son has sensory issues. Although most of the staff was incredibly nice has had kind words, I left the appointment crying and feeling extremely embarrassed. I KNOW it is extremely difficult to cut his hair, and even harder to handle a screaming child who is not your own. I tried to do everything I could to keep him calm and help however I could. He was just scared. There were some comments in the background from staff and even other parents that I did not appreciate. His hair cut turned out great and our beautician was very nice and patient for the most part but I could tell that she was frustrated and even said to my son ( who is 3 and has a speech delay) something along the lines of ,he needed to finish getting his hair cut because she has someone else waiting on her. Which I understand as well…but it just made me feel like she was done with us and couldn’t get us out of the chair fast enough. I appreciate some of the help that we did receive while there but unfortunately I don’t think we will be coming back…

I’ve been to cookie cutters a couple times now and this experience was enough to make us probably not come back. The hair stylist clearly was trying her best to be thorough but the haircut for my 2 year old son went on for about 25 minutes. Every time we have been in before it’s been a 5-10 minute job. Nevertheless, when we left and were looking at his hair in the cut it was not a good job at all. His hair was not trimmed up on the back or sides by his ears. So many straggle pieces of hair. Just disappointed with it all this time.
