The hairstylist Alicia seemed new. Not rude, but not really that friendly either. Haircut was.. okay, I guess. Hardly any hair was even cut, despite me saying I wanted it short and evened out. Did not style or use any products, just a dry trim. Even my husband and a few friends commented they couldn’t tell he even had a haircut. Perhaps she didn’t feel comfortable with his hair texture because she declined wanting to use clippers. The hairstylist next to us, Nikki, however, seemed to be giving an awesome look and style to her client and was a bit friendlier. Probably comparing the two services is the only reason I feel obligated to leave a review. Will probably return, but definitely see someone different.

I’ve been to cookie cutters a couple times now and this experience was enough to make us probably not come back. The hair stylist clearly was trying her best to be thorough but the haircut for my 2 year old son went on for about 25 minutes. Every time we have been in before it’s been a 5-10 minute job. Nevertheless, when we left and were looking at his hair in the cut it was not a good job at all. His hair was not trimmed up on the back or sides by his ears. So many straggle pieces of hair. Just disappointed with it all this time.

I brought my son here knowing that this was a place specifically for children, and my son has sensory issues. Although most of the staff was incredibly nice has had kind words, I left the appointment crying and feeling extremely embarrassed. I KNOW it is extremely difficult to cut his hair, and even harder to handle a screaming child who is not your own. I tried to do everything I could to keep him calm and help however I could. He was just scared. There were some comments in the background from staff and even other parents that I did not appreciate. His hair cut turned out great and our beautician was very nice and patient for the most part but I could tell that she was frustrated and even said to my son ( who is 3 and has a speech delay) something along the lines of ,he needed to finish getting his hair cut because she has someone else waiting on her. Which I understand as well…but it just made me feel like she was done with us and couldn’t get us out of the chair fast enough. I appreciate some of the help that we did receive while there but unfortunately I don’t think we will be coming back…
