I have gotten my last few hair cuts at Salon Rouge and I have had great expetiences with Diana. She did not have any open appointments so I scheduled with anyone and was put with Madeline. I had a terrible experience. She seemed so nervous about cutting my hair. So nervous that I asked her if she felt comfortable and she said, "no." I believe she meant no, I do feel comfortable but all she said was, "no." I was started to feel so uncomfortable and worried about her cutting my hair I almost asked her to stop so I could leave. I told her I did not want my hair styled and she used the blow dryer and some product to style my hair. I also came to my appointment with my hair naturally wavy and showed her pictures of the cut I wanted. After she washed my hair and started to cut my hair was curling and she asked if I had wavy hair. I felt as though she was not paying attention and that she was extremely nervous. Those are not quailities that make me as a customer feel seen and understood.I love your salon but just had a frightening experience.

I love the salon, it's definitely the best in the south bend area. I like that I can get online appointments. Everyone is very friendly and professional. Great hair products. However yesterday during my appointment I noticed that it's a little dirty. There is hair in the corners of the room, dirty brushes with hair at different stations, even brushes laying on the floor. I hope these brushes are not used on our hair without cleaning them.

I really enjoyed everything except for the price. I was charged $213 for a partial balayage and cut. I’ve never paid that much before and was confused why it was so much especially for just a partial. Not sure if I was overcharged but I definitely won’t be coming back for that price.

The salon experience felt rushed, and the stylist had some good advice for ways I could maintain my hair, but also didn't offer a lot of collaborative ideas on how to style my hair with the picture I showed them. Overall it was an alright appointment. Better to know exactly how you want your hair and have the type of hair that can be cut and styled to your liking.

Unfortunately I did not get the service that I requested. I was not happy with my haircut or my hair color.
