My hair cut experience was fine. My balayage experience could have been better. The stylist had another appointment during my service. As a result, I was washed out by someone else who was inexperienced (another stylist had to come help her). I sat for a long time waiting for the stylist to come do my toner. It looked okay initially, if perhaps a tad light. After one wash, the toner has completely washed out and the highlighted portion of my hair looks super brassy and like it was not toned. I waited several days to wash my hair after my service, so it should have been plenty of time for the color to deposit. The end of my service felt a bit rushed - usually stylists spend more time shaping my hair while cutting. Overall, while the cut is okay, it’s not stellar, and I’m very disappointed in the result of my balayage due to the virtually nonexistent toner a week after my service.

Very disappointed today. Went to a different stylist, Lexi. I went for a highlight. I told her whatever you do, make sure my hair is not brassy. As she was washing the bleach out of my hair, she then put a toner on it. Now you know when someone uses a toner it is because they did not do a good job. I asked her why she was putting a toner on it. She said the top was yellow. Obviously she screwed up. So...after paying $145 my hair looks no different than it did when i arrived except it is now brassy! Now when she was drying it I told her it looked brassy. She then had the audacity to say, it had some "brassiness" in it already. It is bad enough that she messed it up, now she would not even take responsibility. Certainly not would I expect from Salon Rouge.

My stylist had another client, so after my appointment time, I waited 1/2 hour before I even saw my stylist, then waited another 1.5 hours to get to the point of having him come back to wash the color out of my hair (he was cutting the hair for another client while I sat over an hour with color on my hair). Oh, and yes, he asked if I needed anything, and I asked for coffee, but he was apparently too busy to bring any to me. Overall, my appointment for cut and color took 2 hours, 45 minutes. I was glad to be able to have an appointment, and the ladies out front were very helpful and even got me coffee when I first came in, but I did not feel I was very important to the person who colored and cut my hair.

I usually have a wonderful experience when I go there. This time, however, I wasn't exactly treated with respect. I had someone doing my hair that I had previously used, but had switched to another because I wasn't exactly happy with her work, (not that it was terrible) but she was the only one available that day. I was left with my foils in for well over an hour, and if I am remembering correctly, it was closer to an hour and a half! Not only that, the shampoo girl who's name I will not mention, literally told me several times, "I can't even." "Your hair is too long." "I can't get a brush through this." She repeated "I can't even." several more times before she gave me what in her words was a "power dry" in order to be able to brush my hair. Halfway through, I just asked her to quit and I was going to go home with half wet, half poofy hair. At almost the same time, the person who colored my hair discovered that my hair had reacted to the foils or something underneath so instead of going home, I had to wait for her to put toner or whatever she used on my hair and wash it again. She only washed the part she redid so I still had half wet, half poofy hair that wasn't brushed. After over three hours, I was finally able to go home and my hair is too blonde. I am not sure if I will go back or not. I probably will because I had always had a good experience up to that point. I will be making sure that I do not have either of them touch my hair in the future.

I was just in this morning for root color and Trim! The gal was very sweet she has a hard time with my roots and had to redo the color! The color is fine! HOWEVER I have been in tears for an hour now as my hair is a complete disaster! And so short! I asked for a trim! I have a totally different haircut and each side is completely different in length, on side is so bad it has chunks and Holes in it! I have a big weekend ahead of me and had big plans and came to your salon because of recommendation and wanted to feel good about myself. Now I’m not certain what to do except use the clip or wear hat to my events this weekend I am devastated at this point. I feel really bad complaining, but I came home and washed it to try to see if I could stylet but I’m at a complete loss.
