My 7-year old daughter has extreme anxiety about getting her haircut. We had been looking for a comfortable place for her since moving to this side of town a couple of years ago but just hadn't found it - until now. The environment is wonderful and everyone let her take her time playing on the slide to get comfortable and decide on her own that she would try to get her haircut. While she still did have an anxiety attack (crying, kicking, can't rationalize anxiety), we had Julia and she was wonderful. She was calm and able to get her curls cut and layered while I wrapped my daughter in my arms. The entire staff was supportive and non-judgmental about my daughter's reaction. Even after my daughter calmed down afterwards, she said that next time she wants to go back to Julia. Some kids just don't react well to certain things; I'm thankful that Cookie Cutters understands that. It's not just a cute place with kid furniture - they really get kids!
