I recently moved to the area and was referred to your establishment by a friend. I must say the overall environment was excellent. However the hair tech Carly wasn’t kid friendly at all. I normally go to Cartoon Cuts in White Marsh, which is where I moved from. This was a new experience for my child. Carly kept telling him to hold his head still as if my son was annoying her. She then sprayed his head with water harshly as if she was punishing him for moving. I took a video of my son first and last haircut at your establishment. I showed the video to my wife and family who were livid and demanded I call a manager. I do not like to make waves and truly wanted to believe it was a hard day for the hair tech. I still believe this is no way to treat a child. My wife and I are resource parents and have many children going in and out of our home. Some have disabilities and some don’t. We try our hardest treat them all the same because we don’t know what type of life they have had so far. Sometimes the closest places aren’t the best place to go. I will continue taking all of my children to White Marsh mall to have their haircut. It’s a shame because when I first walked through the door I felt like this would be the place for my family to come. First impressions last a life time. After speaking with my friend and showing him the video as well he decided he would come their either. We should treat everyone the same no matter the race.
