I think you pay for the “experience” and it could have been so much better but just wasn’t... it wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t anything special either. My kid had his first haircut and once he got finished cutting, I had to request he brushing and style it... he was just gonna be done with it. The staff didn’t really seem to have it together, it seemed chaotic at times, and dirty... Save your money and go elsewhere. The suckers and balloons are nice but that’s about it.

The staff could not be more kind, but they also could not be more clueless. When we went, last weekend, you would have thought it was they’re opening weekend with the amount of errors that were made including but not limited to... putting another child on my son’s first haircut certificate and an uneven hair cut. The place is such a cute environment, but sadly, we won’t be returning with the mess ups involved.

Usually we have a good experience here, but I feel our stylist this time did not cater to what a 2.5 year old would need. When she sprayed his hair with water repetitively she did nothing to block the water from going in his face over and over. The stylist pulled his hair tightly while cutting it and held on to his arms tightly numerous times. He usually does pretty well here and other locations like this, but the stylists have been more gentle and helpful with making him feel comfortable. I will likely try another similar type kids salon next time.

First return visit. This was the second visit to Cookie cutters and we were super excited about it as the first visit was a very good experience for all of us. We are super disappointed this time. One of the hair dressers spoke badly to my husband because he was supposedly on her way. My son was crying all the time and with my husband we were trying to comfort and reassure him. Finally at check out I was trying to get an accessory for my son and I felt so urgently pushed to decide, pay and leave so that they can move to the next customers which is unfair since the haircut took only 10 minutes this time. Also, my son was not given the balloon he was waiting for. I had to take it myself...I was not going to look at my son looking at other kids having a balloon and not him even though I gave a good tip...

If you are going to allow people to book appointments you need to respect their time and follow through on that commitment. Otherwise just advise it’s first come first serve.

The stylist that my son had today was slightly rude and did not do a great job cutting his hair. The edges were all choppy and uneven -- there were many stray hairs that were not cut at all. I realize that cutting the hair of a 2.5 year must be challenging, but I assumed that coming to a salon specifically for kids would mean that there was an extra level of skill in accomplishing this task. The stylist was very rough with my son and left red marks all over his neck. I will need to take him to another salon in order to have his haircut fixed.
