From beginning to end my experience was not great. I tried booking my son’s appointment online but the website kept freezing, so I called to set the appointment. I was hoping to bring my son in later in the week but the girl who I wanted to request was not going to be there. She does the best job so I moved my schedule around to be able to bring my son in on a day she was working. On our way to the salon I got a text saying that the girl we requested was now not going to be there. We live 30 minutes from the salon and were more than half way there (and stuck in traffic I might add), so we just went with the lady that was working. She wasn’t familiar with cutting my sons hair and unfortunately left it longer than he usually gets it. I told her it looked a little long but she said his cowlicks would look strange it she cut it any shorter. Somehow the girl who usually cuts his hair (the one we requested) is able to get it shorter without issue. He will likely need a haircut again 2-3 weeks sooner than usual now. We are going to find a place closer to home that has things better together.

This experience was very disappointing. I was very specific about the challenges of his double crown and cowlicks and also the type of cut that I was hoping for. He’s had the same type of cut at cookie cutters before with a different person and it turned out so wonderfully. The haircut he received yesterday looked like something I would do at home. Also it seems like the lady cutting his hair had not worked with children before which was surprising to me since this is a children’s haircutting facility. She spoke with me a few times but only when I initiated the conversation and never spoke to my son except to instruct him to sit still or look at Elmo on the TV. My son wears glasses so I’m not sure that he could even see what was going on on the TV ( which I did mention to the stylist) with his glasses off to have his haircut. In our previous experience we had a stylist who engaged him and found unique ways to keep him busy or get him to look where she needed him to without just telling him to look at a TV. I felt like I had to do a lot of the work of trying to get him to cooperate which was pretty frustrating. When I got home my husband actually asked where I had taken him to get his haircut because it was such a bad cut he thought maybe I did it myself or took him someplace other than cookie cutters. Of course my son is only two so he doesn’t care but i’m just glad we’re not having pictures taken anytime soon or anything like that. It’s a pretty awful cut!

Even though I had an appointment I still had to wait for some time. I also was not happy with the quality of the haircut. My sons bangs are uneven and a lot of hair was left around the ears and neck that I had to request to have moved. Had good experi need bete in the last bit this haircut is not one of them. Will have to get him another haircut to fix it.

I don't believe the woman that cut my daughters hair knows how to cut/taper bangs. She gave her a straight across cut, as if we'd gone to SuperCuts or something much cheaper. She has straight hair with bangs, nothing difficult. We've had great cuts before at Cookie Cutter's, guess we just got someone who didn't know how to cut bangs/girls hair. Thankfully her hair grows quickly.

There were three stylists in the shop, there were no other customers present, we were a walk-in and when I said I didn't have an appointment, I was told that they had to take customers with an appointment first. I looked around and said there is no one else here. The reply that I received was they were probably on their way and would be there soon. So I said even though I was there and no one else in the shop; 3 stylists were standing around, no one wants my business and started to leave, when then one of them spoke up and cut my granddaughter's hair. My granddaughter has fine, short hair. All we were wanting was a bang trim, and a trim on the rest of the hair....nothing complicated or time consuming. The woman who cut her hair was probably done in 10 minutes and was half-way done before another mom with two kids came in. This mom had an appointment with the same stylist for both kids. Therefore still leaving one stylist standing. So no one was inconvenienced or had to wait while one of the three stylists cut my granddaughter's hair. No sure why they had to be so rude about it.

Audrey. We apologize for any actions that may have reflected rudeness or impatience on our part. We welcome walk in customers and very much appreciate your visit. Because many of our clients make appointments it is sometimes hard to judge when to accept a walk in client ahead of a client with an appointment. Because it takes on average 15-25 minutes for a child's cut, if a stylist accepts a walk in client before an appointment, the client making the appointment and not being serviced on time, feels disrespected. So it is a often difficult for the stylist to determine what action to take. Happily the stylist was able to provide you the requested service, although I certainly understand your frustration and concern. I hope you will accept this apology and explanation.
