I was not happy with the service at this salon. I scheduled an appointment through their website, which had to be changed because of a system glitch. That wasn't a big deal, but I got the impression that my appointment was squeezed in, without the adequate amount of time, due to the scheduling issue. I booked a Deva cut because I have naturally curly hair. But I rarely have time to spend on myself, and after 15 months, I was treating myself to a cut, and what I assumed would be a blow out. I wear my hair curly every single day, and never blow dry. So I was surprised that my $65 cut included only a dry cut, shampoo, some scrunching and then being stuck under the dryer. With all due respect to the training and certification for the Deva technique, I felt like I left with the same wet, curly hair I do myself every day, and could have gotten at any chain salon. Already disappointed with the service, I went to pay and was quite surprised to be informed of a 4% surcharge to pay using a credit card. No where on the website, or at no point when making the appointment or during the visit was I informed of this. Had I known, I would have been prepared with cash. I was offered to pay with Venmo, which I do not use. After acquiescing to the credit card fee, I was informed I could pay by check. The entire process left me feeling disappointed, particularly since this was a special treat after not having a cut in over a year, and knowing it will likely be just as long until I go again.

I normally get my hair done by Grace and I have always left happy with my hair. Today, I worked with a different person (Felicia) and I left the salon unhappy with my hair, and cried the entire drive home. After nearly 4 hours in the salon, the blonde side of my head was STILL brassy, and a dark, blonde (which is NOT what I get done - ever. I always get the lightest it can be and Felicia even asked me earlier in the appointment and I confirmed that I always want it as light as we can get it). After the initial glaze, I came back to my seat to see my roots were still brassy and had to ask her to tone it again. After that, my roots were STILL brassy. I had already spent four hours, and yes - she did offer to tone it even more, but I didn't want to sit any longer so I essentially was just like "it's fine i'm just going to go home and tone it myself." I am so unhappy. I normally have great experiences with Grace - and this was the complete opposite. I'm so upset and unsatisfied. I felt like I was telling Felicia what to do the entire time. When she was cutting my bangs, I had to tell her what was uneven, and I still feel like my bangs aren't even. And then with the color.... I'm just shocked. And I hate this, I hate to point fingers and say Felicia did all these things wrong because I'm sure she was just trying her best and I know she's a little newer, but I'm so upset with my hair. I feel like I shouldn't have had to guide her so much... (I so appreciate that after my mother calling and trying to work things out that you are letting me come in on Monday free of charge to fix it though).

I showed my stylist exactly what i wanted. I wanted long layers but did not get that at all. Ive requested this in the past and it has always been better than I expected. This time, the stylist cut and dried my hair very sloppily. Very disappointed! My hair had no product in it and it was staticky and just awful.

My stylist was very nice, however, I did not receive the haircut that I requested. First, I requested that my bangs be trimmed. I commented that they were too long. I expected an experienced professional to trim a little more to determine if the length was sufficient. The stylist cut too much off and now it looks like little nubs sticking out. I also requested that the cut frame my face so it would be cut at an angle. The stylist cut straight across. I now need another haircut to get the haircut that I originally requested although there is nothing I can do with the bangs.

The haircut I received did 3 things that I specifically requested not to receive: 1) the layers were drastically different in length with the top layer so short I cannot wear my hair down and will have to wear the top half up for the next few months until it grows out and I can get the cut fixed. 2) razor was used. 3) it was cut several inches shorter than I requested and is barely long enough to pull back. The last time I received a haircut I was this disappointed in was when I was 12 years old and went to Super Clips where a beginner level stylist in training botched up my hair. The salon came highly recommended and was a complete disappointment; I am so sad that now I have to wait another 3-6 months to try again (at a different location!) for the haircut I really want.
